yes very easy to cut. Just use sharp kitchen scissors or garden secateurs.

Q: If I fitted this to a large gate would the portion I left 'unsupported' to fill the 6" gap at the bottom keep its shape or would curl up?

Probably would curl...why not tie with thin wire or fishing line etc.

Q: Would this stop pigeons but allow smaller birds in my garden

Hi the holes are 5cm square so not many birds could fit through - also it depends on how you fence your garden unless you're creating a cage-like structure they can all get over the top 😊

Q: Would this be suitable to place around garden hedges to keep a dog in?

obviously depends on the dog size and type, however I would have thought that the fencing wouldn't be strong enough for a dog anyway unless it is added to an existing fence
