Item description: 25 ct, 3/8-16 hex head nuts Brand: Moyocodi Item: B0FJ58B2JG Date received: 2025-09-11 Headline - exactly as described Product Claims 1 box, 25 ct, 3/18-16 hex head nuts, black oxide coats, 304 SST The transparent plastic holding case box arrived with a crack in it, which I repaired with plastic tape. The quantity was 25 as promised, and the thread form fit a thread checker. The nuts are all black coated, and they are weakly magnetic as 304 stainless tends to be, but I have to take the seller's word for the material. The hex size is 0.5575 inch across the hex (roughly 9/16 inch). The nut is 0.3325 inch tall.

These arrived quickly and thread easily onto the various 1/4" bolts in my spare parts organizer. Now the 1/4" nut bin isn't empty any more and I am happier. Production quality seemed good and they weren't oily like some others I've bought, so I didn't have to wipe them down first before putting them in the bin. I only wish I had more storage space for random fasteners so that I could order in bulk and spend even less per item, but the price per nut in a 50 pack is much better than a la carte at the hardware store when I really need some.

Quite a bit of side to side rocking when fully engaged onto a bolt. These may meet hardware grade, but just barely. - Total Nut Depth, I measured a wide range of thicknesses from 6.16mm all the way up to 6.40mm. This is not a massive difference, but if you are looking for consistent thickness, these may not be the best choice. The difference may be due to the black zinc coating adding additional thickness. Summary: Not saying these are bad nuts, but I personally have seen better. I would categorize these as typical hardware chain store quality. It passes for the spec, but a bit loose. Finish is fine. No residue coming off the black finish, creating a mess. Price is ok. Not bad, not great.
