This hood release handle is a life saver. I love this release handle, it looks very good, it is a all metal design and is very easy to install with just to torx bit screws, the hardest part of the install is stripping the plastic from the old broken cable. I used vise grips to first break the hard plasticand then strip it off. You will have to strip away atleast an inch and a half to two inches for the handle to properly seat. The handle feels strong and durable and the two screws seem to hold very tight. I got the read color to match my wheels lol. Overall this hood release handle is a great value for the money, in fact this was way cheaper and less labor intensive than it would have been to change the entire hood release cable.

This is not a direct replacement. This would work if yours broke. But the factory one doesn't come off without breaking.

I replaced my broken hood release pull lever end with this aluminum unit. It looks nice and install was pretty easy. My hood release is really hard to pull but this unit is holding great. If you have a civic ej coupe you probably need this.
