Wall drilling security
Seemed to work well. New house (to us) and wanted to drill many walls for shelves, etc. Seemed to work well, except some suspected false positives for metal in wall??

Great addition to the tool box
I've never actually drilled through a pipe or cable but I'm sure that's more luck than judgement. This little tool is great. You can set it to either detect cable, pipe or stud work and it works very well. The alarm and the lights activate when passing over the area and it's very accurate, thank you.

Excellent to detect electric and metal in walls

Not accurate enough to trust if you are a first time DIY'er
Inhave to say this was somewhat unreliable. It did find studs, occasionally. And constantly found the right hand side of the same stud for about 3 feet of my wall. It gave me enough idea so i know where not to drill. But not the clarity i wanted. I wanted this to remove any risk from my installation and it didn't completely do that.

Cheap and unreliable
Says theres pipes and cables behind everything. Tested it on a piece of plasterboard with nothing behind. It showed i had cables there. WTF

My Husband found this tool invaluable, our Grandaughter wanted some shelves put up in her bedroom, the entire room was built in the loft and so we were unsure where electric cables, stud work etc., was , Using this tool detected exactly where they were. excellent tool would recommend to anyone
