We have a private water supply, and where we live in the Scottish Highlands our water supply has high levels of tannin (peaty coloured water). UV sterilisation systems work less effectively in less than very clear water. Therefore, having an under-sink RO filtrations system offers an alternative approach to cleaning the water supply.I’ve fitted and maintained at least three under-sink ROs in the past. What I really liked about the iSprings RCC 1UP-AK 100GPD system was how much thought has been put into the pipework design - with each pipe colour coded and easily identified during the installation and commissioning process. The fitting instructions are very clear, and I’d also recommend looking at the installation videos on the iSprings website for further guidance and tips. The RO membrane (stage 4 of 7) does a fantastic job of removing the tannin colouration (and other impurities) from the source water meaning that the UV on the final stage (7), can do its job properly.Peaty water is generally a little acidic, and combined with the RO process can make the resulting filtered water even more acidic. Stage 6 of this 7-stage system is an alkaline filter that is aimed at rebalancing the PH closer to neutral (i.e. PH of 7).Another observation is that the electrical pump is very quiet. Once the under-sink cupboard door gets closed it’s really difficult to hear the pump operating - so there is no disturbing background noise.A final comment, I like the quality of the RO systems so much that I’m now going to purchase another of the same for a holiday home rental that we have nearby.

The media could not be loaded. I was after an under-sink water filter for my new kitchen and, after some research, opted for the iSpring RCC7P-AK. I'm really happy with it. The water tastes great, the water flow is good and any noise from the motor is fairly minimal. My family also really like it. It fits nicely under the sink and, although the tank does require a fair amount of space, it is as compact and as neat as it could be. A plumber installed it for me so I can't comment on that side of things but it all went in without issues. I've also read that the customer service is excellent. Oh yes, the ice cubes I make using the filtered water are beautiful - crystal clear with amazing patterns inside!!! I've been told this is due to the purity of the water.

We have been using a jug type water filter for many years, but needed something much better as we live in a very hard water area with loads of chlorine added, besides, it's not always the best tasting water.So I decided to go for the full 7 stage RO filter unit from iSpring and am pleased I did. The equipment arrived very quickly and was well packaged. I thought it best to have as much space for the unit as possible, so fitted the unit in a cupboards away from the sink, I felt this would work as I have the pumped unit and a longer delivery pipe should work well, which it did. Installation is not really a quick job if you want to make a tidy job, but it can be fitted quickly if needed. I did experience a few minor water leaks, but hay, there are a lot of places for it to leak, and I expect I twisted a few fittings during the installation anyway. By the end of the day, all was working great, water leaks sorted, and system flushed and clear. I have checked it a few times now and all is leak proof and working as expected. I would say the 7 stage unit is a bit top heavy, seems they add the extra units without re designing the brackets, so I added a couple of small shelf brackets and a couple of cable ties to make it more stable. I also have the UV unit, but be careful to mount the flow switch away from the unit slightly because it must be sensitive to magnetic forces as it often turned on without water flow and it gets quite warm if left on. It is easy to see when it is 'on' by looking for a little light escape from the plastic water fittings. Finally, communication has been great between me and iSpring, and they offed advice and help freely. Remember though, you might need a different water connection than the one supplied but iSpring will supply what you need, however I did make up an adaptor with a fitting from the plumbers shop to fit my 15 mm pipe work.Yes I would recommend this unit, and the water it delivers is great.

Been using this for a month now and absolutely love it! You can taste the difference in your water right away. We have purchased the model with the pump as we have low water pressure. Followed the instructions video step by step and it's fairly easy to install if you have a minimum on DIY skills. Amazing product, came also with extended 3 years of warranty which was a nice treat.

This product has no leakage. There is no noise. The quality is alright. It filters the water as it should. But installation is a little complicated and the design is too complex.
