Good for the price.
My experience with this bow and another Longbowmaker bow has been good. New to archery, but not to quality, this bow is worth the price. It is not a high-end bow, but it shoots straight, feels good, and has held up for months with regular use.

Excellent bow.
Okay, I'll start with my skill level.I've been shooting compound bows around 18 years and have been shooting a recurve for nearly 2 years. During the past 2 years it hasn't been uncommon for me to loose 300-400 arrows a week. I have to re-serve my string fairly often, as well as change my bowstring a couple of times a year at that rate. Before I got this bow I shot a 50# Falcon recurve by Wing Archery.Overall, it is a nice bow. Much quieter than my wing and very accurate. Don't be put off by the fact that it doesn't have a shelf, shooting off your knuckles has worked for several millennia and continues to work today (I do recommend wearing a leather glove on your left hand, however, as your feathers will begin to cut you after several shots).I got the 75lb version, and at 28" it is as advertised. I have checked it on scales.I will point out that this is the type of bow that does not reach anywhere near that peak weight until you attain the full 28" of draw. I shoot with a 24.4 inch draw length and lose 20lbs. of pull, whereas my Wing only lost 5lbs. of pull. Nothing to gripe about there, that's just the way some bows operate. The string IS NOT made of tendon as the 75lb. listing said-some sort of nylon cord. No big deal, but I did subtract half a star for it.I don't know how the leather wrapping will hold up the next time I hunt in a rain storm. Feels cheap, but I can deal with that given the price. (I'll re-wrap it myself if necessary). This cost it half a star.As far as stringing the bow, you may as well throw your European bow stringers away because I'd just about bet they won't work with the ends on this one (they are shaped different). I couldn't find any Mongolian bow stringers online, so I made my own stringer out of a thick strap by sewing the ends over to make pockets using leather working thread. Do that at your own risk/discretion.The serving thread gave out on me today. I've had the bow about a week, and have shot the customary 200 or-so arrows out of it. No problem, I re-served it myself. You can get this done at an archery shop if you don't know how-relatively inexpensive.Shipping was fast-7 business days from China to eastern USA.The bottom line: A great bow for the money. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and expect good performance out of the bow after what I've seen so far. It is short (Around 54 inches when strung, which will be nice for hunting this fall) and is very flat-shooting out to 30-35 yards (even with my short draw length). I don't think you'll find a better 75lb. longbow/recurve unless you custom order an $800 one from somewhere. As a final note, I will warn that the extra heft of these bows will take some getting used to. It took me several days to get this one on target, and I'm still working on my stamina and consistency-but that's personal fitness and has nothing to do with the bow itself.I would definitely recommend this product, and it is admired everywhere I go.

Great looking bow that arrived quickly.
My son had ordered the Hungarian model bow and it was a beautiful bow. I ordered the Mongolian 75#bow it is also a nicely done bow. Due to the power of the bow it is a little difficult to string it takes some technique to get it done. It arrived from China in very little time and in good condition. Haven't had a chance to shoot the bow yet because of the bad weather but I will update this review on the performance of the bow later. Would recommend Long bow maker to anyone else looking for a quality value bow. I already own a Kassai Magyar bow so I have a high cost bow of similar construction and type to compare it to. Update on my earlier post. I have changed the rating to five stars after shooting about a hundred arrows through the bow. It compares well with the Kassai made Magyar that I own. It's a different shooting bow because the Mongolian bow is about six inches shorter than the Magyar. It's power comes on quickly when you release the string. It does have more hand shock than the Magyar but that's because of the short design of the bow. You need to be an experienced archer if you plan on getting this bow. It is sensitive to shooter errors more so than the Hungarian style of bow. This bow will drive a 2216 arrow harder than my Magyar can. One word of advice the serving on the string is thicker than a standard arrow nock is designed for it will at times pull the nock off. Overall a very nice bow. I have always wanted a Mongolian bow, for the price and quality I don't think you can do much better.

Rocky start to a beautiful relationship.
I'm just a hobbyist archer so take this for what it's worth. I wanted something different. I got it. This bow is beautifully made and devilish hard to string. I feared breaking it, then feared it breaking me, and finally watched a video on how to accomplish it. I then tried to shoot it like a traditional recurve and pained myself even further. Watched another video. (I do, however, now have a trophy glove, replete with a slice that I show off to point out where the cut would be on my hand if not for the heroic glove giving its life.) It's recommended you use bamboo arrows. I, naturally, ignored this pricey recommendation. I recommend you ignore what I did. Get the proper arrows. After all was said and done, I achieved a fair degree of accuracy pretty quickly and have to force myself to put this bow down. I'm in love with it and have asked it to marry me. It has not yet replied, but that's not a "no".

Great bow,outstanding seller
This is a beautifully constructed hand made bow. I have3 english longbows in the same weight(35#) but this bow is so compact and powerful compared to them. I shoot it over my hand and it is very accurate for me. I have made several inquiries to Longbowmaker about details of this bow and always got a prompt, courteous and informative answer. Shipment was fast,10 days, order to delivery. I am already planning my next purchase

A beautiful mess
This bow. . . alright look, beechwood should have been a red flag - the bow cracks when I pull it to 28 inches. A little scary. This bow was made to look cool, but not to be used for actual archery. It is inaccurate, difficult to draw, and the power drops off SHARPLY. At around 50 meters+, the arrows fly straight down - but the bow is very beautiful.I'd skip this one and look at the other bows available. Also, the review below mine makes me laugh (see "most recent"), the guy literally didn't know how to string a recurve bow and took a picture of it lol.P.S., I still love feeling like a mongol archer with this bow! Again, fine for roleplay.
