Great, well made cloak, perfect for dressing as a witch for the Harry Potter-themed wedding I recently coordinated. I needed something I could easily slip in and out of since it would have been difficult to cut the cake in costume, but not so difficult for sending the bridal party down the aisle. The Bride and guests loved that I dressed for the part and I had a blast! The cloak was comfortable and looked more costly than it was after a good steaming to release the wrinkles from being packaged. Other reviews mention an odor but mine was thankfully odor-free. I also did not have any trouble with the single-button closure, though I am looking to replace it later with something more intricate. Great purchase.

I received my cape, yesterday, and I have to tell you folks, I'm in awe. ;-DMy height is 5'5" and this beautiful cape that is a cloak to me, hit's my ankles.Posing in my Halloween costume in front of my old man, made me feel like Queen Anne Boleyn, or a lady in waiting, whichever the two, that's my plan to be this Halloween. ;-DLove the texture of this sexy cape or cloak, the outer side is a synthetic velvet texture and the crinkle purple inner feels like a satin texture, just overall worth the money, people.I bought from a another store here in Seattle, a beautiful purple and gold floor length renaissance dress, for Halloween, damn I'm going to look fantastic, pairing the cloak and dress together, I can't wait.The shipping was absolutely quick, I love Amazon, and the people who work hard to make us folks happy. ;-DThis cape or cloak with a sexy roomy hood with a button to close at the neck, is a must, to buy, believe me, guys.From a sistah who is inspired by Queen Anne Boleyn.Veronica SchatzHave a Happy Halloween

I don't usually like to reference other reviews of a product, because the entire purpose of this exercise is to help people trying to make a decision by telling them about my experience, not arguing or adding to someone else's experience. However, in this case I feel it is necessary, because it seems everyone is getting a different product. So, first, I'm going to advise that if anyone is considering buying this cape they read ALL reviews and consider that it seems you are flipping a coin with this product. I won that coin toss and received a product that suited my needs, but you might not, so if you are in a hurry and won't have time to make a return/purchase an alternative, that should be considered.Now, a description of the product I received:It is 100 % polyester, but it is extremely heavy and well made for a costume. My cape is quilted on the inside, which I didn't expect. It's not smooth, so it doesn't slide or move around much, but it still has a very nice look. The outside has a nice panne velvet look, but again, it's polyester, so the texture is not that of true panne velvet.The length seems to be measured from the top of the hood, not the shoulders as is proper. So, instead of falling to my ankles, as I expected, it falls to the bottom of my calf. Personally, I don't like this, but some people like capes in this length. For someone more petite than I (I'm 5'8"), it would be fine.It does not close in the front or wrap all the way around. It isn't supposed to do so. The cut of this cape is designed to fasten at the neck and it forms a flattering A shape in the front.When I placed this in my cart, it was $24. At that price, it's a good deal. A few minutes later when I checked out, it had risen to $29. The shipping had changed, too, so I ended up spending more than expected. I've watched the price fluctuate daily (all of the Halloween costumes seem to go up in price just before Halloween) so planning ahead and buying it at a better price might be a good idea. The shipping was very fast. I ordered on Saturday and received it on Wednesday.I'm fairly happy with this as a Halloween costume. It's a little pricey, but it is a high quality costume. For anything between $25 and $35, I think it is fairly priced. I would not pay more than that for this product.One thing to keep in mind: this IS NOT ritual wear. It is not meant to be and the quality isn't sufficient for that, in my opinion. It is a nice costume, but if you are looking for something to wear more than once a year, I would not recommend this product.I gave it four stars, because I like it, but I don't just love it. It was the quality I expected, but it did not astound me or make me feel like I got a bargain. I got exactly what I paid for and I'm content with that.

I am 5'7" woman of average build. This cape was the perfect length. The quality is as good as the other reviewers were saying! Lots of comments form others on quality of the cape. We will be keeping the cape for future dress up parties! And the shipping was right on time for Halloween without the extra cost of special shipping. Would definitely recommend this cape and the company providing it. They also helped me on the phone while I was trying to decide on the type of shipping service to use. Nothing but good things to say.

I ordered this cape and when it arrived I couldn't wait to get it out of the box! It is the most Bewitching Cape that I have found. I will be wearing it for many years to come. Yesterday (October 31st) I dressed with my cape and I went into town where I saw many of my friends. They were all amazed with my outfit. I walked through Wal-Mart and I was stopped so many times by people who just had to comment on my attire (costume)!! They wanted to know where I got such a beautiful cape from and of course I said "Amazon.com where else?" It was a great Halloween so, once again, thank you Amazon.com for having such a beautiful garment for me to add to my costume!! "I am Bewitched"!!!
