Excellent case at a great price, and it comes with a shoe wallet!
This convenient case is designed to house your second generation iPod nano with the Nike+iPod receiver attached to it. It attaches around your wrist using velcro. You also get an extension which lets you attach it around your arm, and a shoe wallet specially designed to fit the Nike+iPod shoe sensor which attaches on your shoelaces with velcro. No product is perfect, and I have a few minor quibbles with this: first, you can't access the docking port while the iPod is in the case, so you have to take it out of the case everytime you need to charge or sync your iPod (or upload your run data), and it's not that easy because of the tight fit. Second, the "hold" slider at the top of the nano is difficult to operate because there is no cut-out for it. Then again, this increases your iPod's protection against dirt and sweat, so I suppose that's the trade-off we have to make. Finally, a tiny pouch to store the headphones would have been a nice addition.Despite these very minor points, this product deserves a five star rating. It's by far the most convenient case I have used to run with my nano; as other reviewers have mentioned, the Nike is more expensive, can only attach around your arm, lacks an opening for the screen, and obviously doesn't come with a shoe wallet for the sensor (since Nike wants you to buy its expensive shoes instead).

What a piece of junk.
I bought this because I wanted a window for the controls, which the nike armband doesn't have. It says it's a wristband/armband, so I assumed it was elastic and could stretch, it can't. It's made for people with small arms, and barely fits over my wrist. They include an extender, but it uses such a small piece of velcro that it comes loose and drops your ipod if you look at it funny. Also, the window fogs up the instant you start sweating. If you have tiny wrists and never sweat, it's perfect. For me it's completely useless.

Not for hot weather or long runs
I bought this product and just went on my first run with it: eight miles in 80-degree, humid weather. About halfway through, the screen fogged up. I stopped and took the iPod out of the case, and the iPod was covered in sweat. The fabric that lines the inside of the wristband/case absorbs moisture, but the neoprene that covers the outside doesn't allow it to evaporate. Besides allowing a lot of sweat to build up around your iPod, it also makes your wrist awfully hot.For walking or for short runs in cooler weather, this would be fine; but if you find much sweat on your shirt during a run, you can probably figure you'd have a lot of sweat on your iPod too if you used this. Not recommended.

Works, but quality could be better
Once you get used to putting it on your arm, the case works just fine. At the beginning, though, it there were several times when the strap extension (for the arm) would disconnect while putting it on.Also, after having used this for several months, the bottom of the case, where you need to stretch is to insert the iPod with the Nike dongle, is starting to separate on me.Once this one bites the dust, I'll probably buy the Nike+ Sport Armband (not available when I bought this one).

Pretty good for its intended use
The plastic screen is useless when trying to use the Ipod wheel as it's annoyingly tough trying to press through this layer; I think I may just cut part of it out. O/w, I really like this case, as it's easy to put on and fulfills my Nike + needs. I originally planned to use this on the wrist but have grown to like it more on my arm, and it's good that the package comes with an adjustable armband. I'm also happy that the band package comes with the shoe sensor as a combo pack.

Great companion to Nike + iPod
This recently released item is a superior alternative to Nike's case for the Nano designed to be used with the Nike + iPod running system. It consists of two parts: the case for the Nano with the Nike receiver and the velcro pouch for the Nike sensor that attaches to the shoe. Both items have sufficient velcro to make a tight fit. The case is mainly designed to go around the wrist, which makes it easy to look at while running, but an extra velcro band is included so it will fit around most arms. The case designed by Nike has one major (and, one would think, obvious) flaw: there's no clear cover, so the Nano screen cannot be seen. This case and the pouch (which aleviates the need to purchase a Nike + iPod shoe) should be welcomed by many who use the Nike + iPod running system. Thanks Marware!

Won't work if you're serious about working out
I was very excited when I got this armband, I love that you can put it around your wrist and that it fits my small arm. But I was training for an Ironman in the middle of a humid Miami summer, and this product failed miserably very early on. Now that it's winter, I thought the armband would work. Not so. After 1/2 hour of working out, the case gets very steamy and doesn't respond to you trying to press the buttons. Your iPod will stop working, it'll lock up even if you don't lock it. You won't be able to adjust the volume or change your song selection. Until a better product comes out, I'm back to exposing my iPod to the elements, and carrying it exposed in my hand.

Okay but flimsy
This product served me about a year before it started ripping at the seams. I wore it on my bicep, and I wish I could say my muscles caused the seams to rip, but it is the quality of the product that is in question because I didn't overly strain it.Do not recommend.
