Great wearing - budget friendly tire!
Bought these 50/50 244's for front and back for the '06 KLR650. Waited to review until I had some mileage on them.Installed last May (2016) at 4800 miles on odometer. Currently, June, 2017, have 11,075 miles now. Have put about 6200 miles on the set.Always have tires inflated to 28psi front & back. I have not flipped or reversed tire directions.Rear tire rubber blocks had cracked at their bases early on (within first 1000 miles) but have never fallen off. No obvious cupping on rear tire.Front tire has no cracks at base of blocks though it does have mild cupping. At highway speeds on asphault these tires do hum a bit though not annoyingly noticable while riding a large thumper like the KLR. Never had any issues in cornering on paved surfaces either. Their grip feel very flexible but secure on paved curves. At speeds over 40mph on dirt roads the bike feels solid. It tracks well.On trails these tires perform best at 20psi with the heavy KLR. Trail riding is simply a pleasure with the moderate sized blocks and block spacing. These tires have definitely satisfied me. The are a bargain. The wear great! (keep the tires pressures up on pavement!) They handle just fine on paved surfaces dry or wet. They also grip well on trail & field dirt, dry grass, gravel, etc. Wet grass and sand is another issue. Are there DOT-rated tires that successfully perform in sand and wet clay? I don't think so.Only beef I have with these tires are the cracks at the bases of the blocks on the rear tires. It concerned me early on but have become comfortable as I habitually examine the tire conditions over the passed year and have not noticed any further degredation.I would use these tires again but am going to try the IRC GP110 next. The tires looks to be better for paved riding though probably will not handle the trails as good as these 244's.Easy to mount with three spoons.Just took photos of tires. Took photos this morning. Both tires have 6225 miles on them. Not too bad!

Wabbles at 60mpg’s trust me this is not worth it. You get what you pay for
Wish i could give it a no star. Tire wobbles at 60mph, makes your bike yo shake so definately do not buy for you drz400sm. The seller also doesnt want returns so pretty much if you unwrappnit and use it to test it the will say nope cant get money bavk sorry. Save your self time and money dont get this tire and definately not this seller. Go local shop instead atleast there you will get your money back or replaced or store credit. Not wide enough aswell for the sm rims. Very dissapointed.

Great rear tire for a wr250x or similar bike
Ordered this rear shinko 244 from motorcycle superstore and received it 2 days after i placed order with just the standard free shipping which made me extremely happy. As for the tire itself it's a wonderful dual sport tire especially for a wr250x because it's about the only large knobbie tire you can get to fit on a wr250x on the supermoto wheels. Tire performs really good off-road it will throw a rooster tail and everything grips really well in the softer dirt. In hard packed dirt and on the street it lags a little bit in the curves. In the curves on hard packed and pavement it dives hard into a lean when you get halfway through a curve until the side finally grips then its fine but in between straight line and a full lean it dives hard from straight to fully leaned over.

Great Bang for the Buck!!!
Good Value 50/50 tire. 2nd. one on the rear of my KLR 650 NE. Averaged 4500 miles per tire doing real 50/50 riding. I run 28 psi on road and they perform fine, once they get a little squared off you will feel it come over the edge when hard cornering but it still holds well and is very predictable . Off road I run 16 psi and they are fantastic on gravel roads, dirt trails and rock, do well in deeper gravel and sand, are decent in mud except deep clay mud. I weigh 195 lbs. and at this air pressure they perform very well without the need for bead locks. I guess the best recommend i can give is I just spooned the 3rd one on last night, for the price and performance I think they are Great! ...cls

Pretty decent tire. 60% offroad-40% on road.
Running this tire on the back of a klr650. I previously ran a michelin t63 and was able to get 5000+ miles from that tire running heavily loaded at times. The shinko has a tighter tread pattern, but I believe the rubber compound is softer. I do not see myself getting 5000 miles out of this tire, but I have been able to drag the pegs on the klr650 running the shinko 244 tire!

Shinko 244 replacing the KENDAS
The Shinko 244 TIRE was the exact tread pattern I was looking for to replace the 80/20 Kenda's I was using on my 06 KLR650.Look forward on putting in some miles on the new tires and evaluate.
